WordPress Website Intern

Sharp Guys’ is a two member team that has been around since 2011.  While we never planned on growing past just the original owner, fate has found us continuing to grow and has offered us tremendous opportunities to work with some outstanding local businesses.  We now have more 50 ongoing clients and are continuing to grow substantially.  Join the Sharp Guys’ team as an intern and learn how we set ourselves apart from the rest of the local Indy agencies and how you can as well.  Learn why we have 60, 5 star reviews on Google My Business and how you can build up your own agency if you so desire.

We only work on WordPress websites.  WordPress website maintenance is a critical part of this role.  Potentially help build brand new websites as well.  Helping take part in a Sharp Guys Web Design rebuild of our own website.  Communicating with clients via phone and email as necessary.  Other marketing or web development responsibilities based on the background and strengths of the chosen candidate.

Here’s what we are always looking for – someone that always tries their best, learns from their mistakes, takes ownership of problems and works to resolve them, listens to advice and provides feedback on things that aren’t working, someone that likes to work autonomously and doesn’t need constant feedback, someone that likes the idea of working for themselves in the future, someone that is kind, helpful and goes out of their way to help others.  Someone that doesn’t use the word ‘someone’ as often as I have here.

Also, it would be good to have some background in WordPress but not critical.  Critically, an appetite for learning new things and truly a love of learning, the ability to communicate and have the ability to use a computer and easy access to the internet.

If you have more advanced skills – css, php editing, jquery, Photoshop, joke telling – all the better.

Our Hope for Your Internship:

We hope that coming out of the internship you will have far more knowledge of WordPress (the most widely used content management system in the world), a clearer idea of how to effectively work with clients (both large and small), and a wider skillset that will help you earn more/provide value for future employers.
